“The last ten years have been enjoyable and challenging but the hard work has definitely paid off as we have a string of awards and achievements to our name” says O’Keeffe, CEO of Fastway Couriers Ireland. “The most recent achievements include two awards this year alone: Franchise of the Year - Service and Best Franchise System & Business Practice from the Irish Franchise Association as well as Best Business Growth for the last two years running from Fingal Dublin Chamber, to name but a few.”

Fastway are continuously evolving particularly in the last year where they have launched a new online service called postplus.ie to cater for lower volume users.  With this service, anyone can log onto the postplus website, arrange for Fastway to pick up and deliver their parcels and pay with laser or credit card.

They have also undergone a complete rebrand including logo, decals and uniforms. “The rebrand has reflected the positive changes taking place in our organisation. Refreshing our image communicates that we are committed to fostering further growth, progression and ambition within our company” says O’Keeffe.

Despite the backdrop of continued economic uncertainty, the business is performing well. “We have seen growth of 3.7 percent over 2010 and we garnered over 2,000 new clients in 2011.” O’Keeffe acknowledged, “Any growth in this environment is a challenge, but through our sales campaigns, the launch of our postplus.ie website and targeting of the UK to Ireland delivery market we are continuing to see growth.”

So in essence, Fastway have more than just an anniversary to celebrate. Their growth and success over the last ten years is down to the franchise structure of the company.  O’Keeffe maintains “The key to upholding and expanding our customer base is the level of commitment demonstrated by all of our franchisees, commitment to providing the best level of service, to going the extra mile for our customers, and providing value for money.”

Fastway Couriers Ireland offer low cost, next day delivery services throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland, and now online through postplus.ie, for parcels and satchels up to 30kg as well as a delivery service to Great Britain. For more information, please call 01 807 4763 or visit www.fastway.ie
